Enjoy Summer Events with Tasty, Refreshing Mocktails
Summer is right around the corner, and nothing sounds more refreshing than a nice, tasty (and health conscious)… “mocktail”! Having delicious mocktail recipes on hand is a must when social occasion are calling but you want to stay compliant to a diet, detox, or protocol you may be on. Read on for some winner recipes!
Ginger Jasmine Green Ice Tea Mocktail
Ingredients:
Ice cubes
1 lime wedge
4 ounces brewed jasmine green tea, chilled
4 ounces ginger beer, chilled
Fresh sliced strawberries, mint leaves, or additional lime wedges for garnishing (optional)
Instructions:
- Add ice cubes to a cocktail glass.
- Squeeze the lime wedge over the ice.
- Add the chilled green tea and ginger beer; stir gently.
- Garnish with strawberries, mint leaves, or additional lime wedges.
Rose Water Spritzer
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. rose water (for cooking)
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1-2 Tbsp. agave or honey to taste
1 Tbsp. pomegranate juice for color (optional)
Ice
¾ cup sparkling water or more to taste
Fresh roses for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Combine rose water, lemon juice, honey or agave, and pomegranate juice in a cocktail shaker.
- Fill with ice, shake until combined, and then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Pour in the sparkling water.
- Garnish with fresh roses.
Turmeric & Blood Orange Sparkling Mocktail
Ingredients:
1 cup blood orange juice
½ teaspoon ginger powder
½ teaspoon turmeric
Ice
1 cup club soda or sparkling mineral water
Honey, maple syrup, or agave if desired
4 mint leaves
2 sprigs rosemary
2 orange slices for garnish
Instructions:
- Whisk together blood orange juice, ginger powder, and turmeric in a medium bowl.
- Add ice to a cocktail glass.
- Pour ½ cup of blood orange juice mixture into each glass and ½ cup club soda.
- Add sweetener if desired and stir.
- Add mint, rosemary, and orange slice in each glass.
Note: Oranges can be substituted for blood oranges if not in season.
Pomegranate Lime Spritzer
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp. pomegranate juice
1 cup sparkling water
¼ lime quartered
Instructions:
- Add ice cubes to a cocktail glass.
- Pour pomegranate juice then sparkling water into the glass.
- Squeeze lime juice into the drink. Serve and enjoy!
Coconut Mojito Mocktail
Ingredients:
Salt
1 small lime sliced
½ cup light coconut milk
Ice
8 oz. lime-flavored seltzer
15-20 mint leaves
¼ cup flaky sea salt (optional)
Instructions:
- Add salt to the rim of the glass by cutting the lime in half and run along the edge of the glass. Dip the glass in salt to stick.
- Add mint to two cocktail glasses. Juice the lime and divide between each glass. Muddle the mint leaves with the lime juice.
- Add ¼ cup of coconut milk into each glass.
- Add ice to the glasses, then slowly pour lime seltzer until full.
- Garnish with extra lime slices and mint and enjoy!
Berry Kombucha Collagen Mocktail (serves 2)
Ingredients:
16 oz. Gingerberry kombucha
¼ cup almond or coconut milk
1 scoop collagen peptides
¼ cup fresh or frozen blackberries
Mint leaves, for garnishing
Instructions:
- Make kombucha ice cubes by freezing by pouring kombucha into ice cube trays and placing in freezer for 3-4 hours until frozen.
- In a blender, add the kombucha ice cubes, almond or coconut milk, collagen, and blackberries. Mix on medium high until well-blended.
- Pour the blended drink into two cocktail glasses. Garnish with fresh mint and serve with a straw or spoon. Enjoy!
